Hanoi [Vietnam], November 6: Despite her short stature, Thu Thor impressed viewers with her confidence in conquering the challenges on 'The Face Vietnam'.
Among the contestants of The Face Vietnam 2026 , Tran Anh Thu (Thu Thor) has garnered attention from viewers due to her height of 1.48 m. Initially facing considerable skepticism about her appearance when trying her luck in this reality TV show, the girl born in 2002 has gradually changed people's perceptions of her through each episode.
Notably, in the most recent episode, Thu Thor surpassed other candidates to win the side challenge, and she also secured a place in the top 3 contestants chosen by the brand for her strong performance in the main challenge.
Before joining The Face Vietnam 2026, Thu Thor (from Da Nang) was known as a content creator, with a TikTok channel boasting over 2.5 million followers, including clips that reached 10 million views. Despite her modest height , the 24-year-old contestant chose to turn her limitations into motivation to prove that the appeal of a face in the digital age lies not only in physical appearance, but also in personality, creative thinking, and the ability to make an impression.
Previously, at the casting call, Thu Thor's appearance surprised and sparked debate among many. The 10X content creator admitted that her height of 1.48 m was also an advantage, helping her stand out when standing next to other candidates.
"This is my first time participating in a reality show, so I'm very nervous. However, I've calmed myself down a lot. I want to step out of my comfort zone. I think I have everything the show needs, I just lack height," she shared during the casting round.
As Thư Thor's coach, supermodel Anh Thư said that initially, she didn't choose her for the team because she saw that her junior was hesitant and influenced by conflicting opinions on social media. At that time, the 24-year-old contestant tried to conform to the general standards of modeling through her performance style. "That made me dislike it and feel conflicted. But then I reconsidered and realized that I could offer advice to help her maintain her own unique style and personality," she shared.
Vietnamese supermodel Anh Thư also frankly told her junior: "The program didn't choose you because of your height, or because of your beauty. The program chose you because of your personality and character. You have to showcase that clearly, not just be beautiful according to the standards of a model." According to the female coach, Thư Thor needs to understand why she was chosen and demonstrate this element in the most outstanding way. "That's why I ultimately decided to choose her for my team," Anh Thư shared.
The reason why Thu Thor joined The Face Vietnam

Besides that, Thu Thor also showed her determination in the competition when she confidently declared at the The Face Vietnam 2026 press conference : "The contestant with the shortest height will reach the highest position."
