Hanoi [Vietnam], February 6: Attending to support the film project 'The Scent of Pho', the moment Khanh Thi and Phan Hiển walked hand in hand on the red carpet attracted much attention.
On the evening of February 5th, the premiere of the film "Mùi phở" (The Scent of Pho) took place in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together a host of Vietnamese stars including artist Xuan Hinh , actress Ha Huong, actress Thu Trang, actor Hai Trieu, the couple Khanh Thi - Phan Hien, Miss Vietnam Ha Truc Linh, and many others.
As part of the film's premiere event, the organizers also introduced the "Mr. Mui's Lucky Money" campaign: 111 minutes of family togetherness - a heartwarming invitation for Vietnamese families to gather together before the New Year. Accordingly, the organizers will hold special, completely free screenings at 7:30 PM on February 10th and 11th, 2026, at 18 cinemas, specifically for multi-generational families to share precious moments together.
Sharing his thoughts on the campaign, director Minh Beta confided: " The Scent of Pho is a film made so that the whole family can sit together and watch it. When we thought about that, we suddenly realized: sometimes we spend so much time on work, on friends, on outside relationships, but rarely do we truly sit down with our parents and grandparents. Maybe it's because of the hustle and bustle of life, but it's time for us to slow down a little, appreciate the presence of our dearest loved ones more - and spend time together, even if it's simply watching a movie together."
The Scent of Pho tells the story of the multi-layered conflicts within Mr. Mui's family regarding the passing down and preservation of traditional pho recipes amidst the nostalgic backdrop of Hanoi. Through everyday arguments, the work celebrates the value of this "national culinary treasure" and conveys a profound message about understanding, forgiveness, and rediscovering the warmth of family bonds.
